The time is gone when the mandaps were simple. Today the wedding planners are putting their entire creativity into each of the setups of a wedding including mandap. Now all these mandaps especially floral mandaps are becoming worth a watch. Improving it means using the old ways and converting them into a creative setup. On the other hand, experimenting means trying new decor ideas with mandaps. In this blog, we will discuss the creation wedding planners have done with floral mandaps.

It is choosing the right flowers and their perfect placement. The one who succeeds in both gets his dream mandap, so watch out for both these things in upcoming sections.

Square!

You can call it a perfect square. This one is tailor-made for outdoor weddings. Keep colors light, would suggest you go pink and white combination. The whole setup should be of pastel colors. You can hang some garlands as well. Remember do not go with lots of colors, don’t mix it up, select two-three pastel colors, and that’s it.

Draper all around

If you love drapes then this mandap design is totally for you. Drapes can do the charm on their own but since we are discussing floral mandaps, you can try both of them altogether. One thing we have to keep in mind with this design is that do not cover the whole drapes with flowers. Select some areas or patterns and decor according to that. It should look like a floral mandap whose base is draped.

Unorthodox

If you have got a lot of space and are ready to experiment with something new then try some unorthodox designs. These designs usually take some space as they are not ordinary or common designs. Spoiler alert, we don’t know the result after all it is an unorthodox idea  it may turn out best or it can go either way too.

Proper Indian

It comes under floral mandaps but apart from floral mandaps, there are many other things involved in the decor setup. The reason why we are calling it a proper Indian mandap is due to the presence of Indian elements like Diyas, Matkas, and some sacred leaves. Here the important thing is not the design but the presence of all the goodwill elements that are considered Shubh.

Circular

The very first mandap we have talked about is square one. This design is similar to that one. The only difference is the shape of the mandap. 2-3 pastels color according to the decor of the backdrop is enough to do the job.

One common decor hack for both the mandaps designs, the square and circular one is that you can try fabric as well. It depends upon whether you are opting for an open roof or a closed one. If it’s a close one, you can cover it with some kind of fabric and then decor it with floral designs.

The reason why we are suggesting pastel colors is because of the consideration of an outdoor wedding. When it’s an indoor wedding, you can go with bright colors such as yellow, orange, or golden. You can take the reference of Diyas.

Rusty one

In this section, you will not witness a word called simple. The objective is to give a feel of rust while using flowers at the same time. Rustic design means the old age design or the countryside, organic, not modern. Adding some greenery along with flora will make it look attractive. This kind of mandap needs a lot of creativity and is a gamble as sometimes it turns out to be a messy one while sometimes it becomes a worthy watch.

Expensive one

In this kind of mandap, the decor is done using premium elements. Everything from the pillars to the flowers including some accessories, all are expensive. From a decor point of view, it is not very much different from the above-mentioned mandaps, but budget-wise, the difference is there.

Final Words

We have not mentioned simple mandaps but that doesn’t mean they are not charming. Going with the simple and sober design is all good, what matters is what you want. Look for all designs and select what your heart says.
